After an unsuccessful attempt in May 2023, when prolonged winter conditions and a difficult approach made it impossible to reach the base of the spire, the team returned the following season with renewed determination.

Climbers Nikhil and Suraj completed the first ascent of Rathan Thadi, establishing a new route they named Fissure of Time. The climb marked an important addition to Indian alpine climbing, reflecting persistence, patience, and the spirit of exploration in the high Himalaya.

The expedition was supported by Mountain Hardwear and backed by a dedicated team comprising Amrith, Prerna, Aarohi, Dai, and Kiran Kallur, whose collective efforts made the ascent possible.
